Demetres has been a nostalgic staple of Toronto’s dessert & cafe scene since 1989, with 10 locations across the GTA. We collaborated to design and launch their latest premium location as part of the Shops at Don Mills, establishing a bold & contemporary extension of the iconic brand.

The interior was intentionally un-themed, focusing instead on a neutral, feminine palette that picks up from their curated desserts. Playful hints of confectionery-inspired design include popsicle stick ceiling fixtures, waffle patterning and a bold Warhol-inspired banana wallpaper that begs to be shared on social. These elements were partly inspired by Demetre’s ever-changing menu covers, which the restaurant commissions local artists to collaborate on. -
